Dark Matter from Unstable B-balls
نویسنده
چکیده
The spectrum of MSSM admits solitons carrying baryonic charge, or B-balls. In an inflationary universe they can be produced in significant numbers by a break-up of a scalar condensate along the flat directions. It is shown that if SUSY breaking is mediated to the observable sector by gravity, B-balls are unstable but decay to baryons and LSPs typically well below the electroweak phase transition. It is argued that B-balls could be the source of most baryons and cold dark matter in the universe, with their number densities related by nLSP ≃ 3nB . For B-balls to survive thermalization, the reheating temperature after inflation should be less than about 10 GeV. 1 Invited talk at DARK98 conference, Heidelberg, Germany, July 20-25 [email protected];

Supersymmetric Q-balls: theory and cosmology
MSSM predicts the existence of Q-balls, some of which can be entirely stable. Both stable and unstable Q-balls can play an important role in cosmology. In particular, Affleck–Dine baryogenesis can result in a copious production of stable baryonic Q-balls, which can presently exist as a form of dark matter. متن کاملSupersymmetric D-term Inflation and B-ball Baryogenesis
We consider the B-ball cosmology of the MSSM in the context of D-term inflation models where the reheating temperature is determined by the Affleck-Dine mechanism to be of the order of 1 GeV. We show that such a low reheating temperature can arise quite naturally as the result of a symmetry which is required to maintain the flatness of the inflaton potential. In this case the B-balls will decay...
متن کاملOn B-ball Dark Matter and Baryogenesis
It has been recently suggested that stable, supersymmetric B-balls formed in the early universe could not only be the dark matter at the present epoch, but also be responsible for baryogenesis by their partial evaporation at high temperatures. We reinvestigate the efficiency of B-ball baryogenesis and find it to be limited by the diffusion of baryon number away from the B-balls. Successful bary...
